How it works

Enter your details and line items above, then hit Update preview. The invoice updates live: amount = qty × rate per line, subtotal is the sum, tax is applied to the subtotal, and total = subtotal + tax. Use your browser's print dialog and choose "Save as PDF" to keep a copy. Everything stays on your device — nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

What should I include on an invoice?

Your business name, the client's name, a unique invoice number, the date, an itemized list of work with quantities and rates, the total due, and your payment terms. All of these are covered above.

What payment terms should I set?

"Net 14" or "Net 30" (payment due in 14 or 30 days) are standard. For new clients or large projects, consider requiring a deposit up front or shorter terms.

How should I number my invoices?

Use sequential numbers that never repeat — e.g. INV-1001, INV-1002 — optionally prefixed by year (INV-2026-001). Sequential numbering makes bookkeeping and tax time far easier.
